Bradford Astronomical Society have a numbers of pieces of astronomical equipment for sale inc optical tube assembly (4") - various brackets and bits of mounts etc, Dobsonian base - any members interested in purchasing these at very reasonable prices please contact either Andy Hatfield or John Bardsley - items will be disposed of on a "first come first served " basis, so if you have a project lined up this might be a good time to grab a bargain.

The 4" optical tube assembly is a brand new unused newtonian reflecting type and would make an idea simple dobsonian telescope

Home made wooden square tube construction housing a 6.25" mirror of low expansion glass, and a secondary mirror.

1" wide field orthoscopic eyepiece, 11.5mm monocentric eyepiece.

This would make an ideal project for anyone wanting to build a telescope, the optical tube is practically finished, you only require a mount (a dobsonian mount would be easy to make for this optical tube)
