Robert
Bruce
These photographs
were taken with a compact camera held against the eyepiece of Roberts 12"
Dobsonian reflector - this just shows what good results can be achieved with
basic equipment, the picture of jupiter clearly shows all 4 of the galilean
moons and there is some very good detail of the moons surface, Take a look
at the shot of Jupiter which shows three of the moons in a triangle - a brilliant
shot!
Robert has recently
invested in a digital SLR (Canon 350 rebel) and here are the results so far,
these are excellent pictures - you can see the nebulosity in the Pliades shot.
The sunrise is over the Pacific Ocean at Stradbrooke island, Australia.
I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more images from Robert in the future.
